Imo State governor Rochas Okorocha has reacted to the decision of the state candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the recently-concluded governorship election, Emeka Ihedioha, to challenge his victory at the election tribunal in Owerri, saying that Ihedioha’s petition will only expose his actions during the election.
While admitting Ihedioha’s move as a necessary thing to do as a candidate, he noted that the PDP candidate for the first time is lamenting over election matters.
Okorocha who stated this through a press statement he issued through his senior special assistant on media, Sam Onwuemeodo, maintained that “Hon.
Ihedioha had claimed that he decided to challenge my victory at the tribunal because the election that produced him was marred by violence, intimidation, widespread malpractices and partisanship on the part of INEC”.
